I am in Edmonton, Canada for the Christmas week. It is darn cold out here where -30 seems to be a common temperature for most (uh oh :) ) But today even with this chill I feel particularly warm. I ponder for a while only to realise that it is the Christmas warmth all around me :)
Anywhere I see, I see light. Blues, reds and greens. Disparate colors yet the when they come together nothing could be more homogeneous. The picture is just too perfect. I am loving it :)
The pleasant sight of Mother Mary holding Jesus, Rudolph being hung on many doors, small children meddling around the hanging christmas socks and eagerly awaiting arrival of their dear Santa Claus is unparalleled. This festivity and merry brings nothing but a sense of calm. Reassuring that world is still a good place to live.
In current times when we hear of nothing but depressing economy, people of one religion killing others over god and land, I feel these festivities reinstate the fact that all religion preach goodness and prosperity for humanity in general.
Our ancestors strived hard to give us a world where we found love and peace. Our generation abused everything we inherited. If only we remember that the earth we live today is something that we have merely borrowed from our children then may be we will all stop this slaughter one day.
Here's hoping that we give our children an earth full of love and respect. Amen.

I trust Amu to always find the right words to convey every message. She has very aptly conveyed the joy of the season in this text. Even in the coldest of places on earth , the warmth and joy that Christmas brings is truly a beacon of hope for our society and generation. Apart from the sweet treats and the decorations, Christmas brings forth the human spirit of celebration. Even in the toughest times it gives hope that things will get better. Well all this is just hypothetical,all this 'good world' talk.
V all know the world is doomed. The world will never b gud again.
Ppl hav lost their ethics,children r following them.
No 1 can b trusted,every1 has hidden agendas. Try 2 analyze ppl b4 trusting them.
In a world where PETA gets more donations than charity for poop ppl,u expect the world will ever b gud again????
In a world where a human's lyf has no value,u goodness????
In a world where ppl r instigated by propagandists,u expect peace?
Ppl r gud 2 u just cuz of formality. Have u ever read their minds?
U wudn't have lived long had u known what humans think....
Instead of just teaching ur kids ethics,teach them also 2 survive well. Teach them how 2 trust ppl & 2 what extents.
Do u think v wud have lived had v all not turn a blind eye towards what this world really is?

@ Sanchit: I am glad you took time out to read my blog. I understand what you are saying but my blog is the expression of how I feel about these things.
And somethings struck me while I was reading what you wrote.
-'People have lost their ethics and children are following them' - I completely beg to differ.
- What makes you think Charity makes life better?
- You mentioned that people are good on formality basis. Tell me one thing, have you read all minds?
If yes then you are no human :) No human can read mind (unless you are human turned Vampire like Edward Cullen from twilight - Sorry, I thought lill humour will not hurt :) )
We have out restrictions but we have our instincts too. Instincts help us a lot with this concept of 'trusting' .. think about it.
- How can you teach someone how to trust? I really dont know.
Full circle my point is - I dont think that the world is doomed.
If things are bad we hope they get better. I am doing exactly the same.
What good is life if we dont hope and dream.
So my friend wanting and preaching a 'Good World' talk may sound hypothetical to you but that is my hope. If you dont hope, If you dont dream .. You dont get it.

Hmmm...people hav really lost their ethics....they've become too selfish.
They can do anything to get ahead of you.
Try hearing to people when they think no one else is in the earshot.
I'm not telling you to act as a secret agent or something...but do try to visualize the hidden motives of people.
Actually the work I do highly demands it.
Charity makes the lives of poor people better......ever been to Africa?
You can also see the pictures of ppl living in poverty there.
They need a lot more help than animals do.
I cannot read minds....but I always try to visualize hidden motives of ppl....& mostly succeed.

Actually I'm a doppelganger.
I'm from another planet.
My ppl took this guy to research on earthlings & replaced me with him & I'm really hating this planet!!
My job requires me to trust no 1 & they chose the right man for the job.
Trusting some1 ain't that easy....U shudn't trust a person unless u know for sure if that personz trustworthy or not.
Doing some small research on that person can help.
Shudn't kids know they shudn't blindly trust any1?
Things aren't going 2 get better just by hoping.
More ppl will become bad than the ppl who'll turn gud.
You can't stop that.
U know I used 2 dream a lot..trust me a lot...but I never got what I wanted...never!
& I dunno whether the 1 I love will b mine & I can't even do anything.
My faith in God has severely been shattered.
Maybe thatz y I'm kinda misanthropic.
