Flop experiment with Palak and Mushroom .... Palak paste tasted so yummy but the stupid cannned Mushrooms screwed it up...

Idli

I am very excited today ... I made idli for the first time - start to end :) :D

Phew, What a task -> Soaked Rice+Dal for 6-7 hrs -> Ground the mixture to a fine consistency -> Left the mixture for fermentation overnight -> Voila, fermented idli/dosa batter ready :D

Yea Yea Yea :D In an attempt at extreme self- glorification I will post a picture of my 'creation'... It is yummmm time now !!

Abode of Happiness

I wake up in the morning feeling a void;
I wonder, 'Why Oh Why am I happiness devoid?'
Nothing I said or did could answer this
'Why Oh Why I feel this sorrow in abundance noontide?'
As I mull I hear a sound. The heaviness of the beat made me think, 'Hmm.. A Sagacious Resound'
The whisper in the ear was mild and tender. I smiled.
The sun was bright and so was I.
There was a trail within me; untouched. It lays uncovered now in reverberations abound.
I now see a light beaming out. I know now where castles one's happiness; I am astound.
All the sages knew their secrets and I know mine too.
For ones' own mind abodes happiness and I am glad I found it too.

Sandglass

The Sandglass is on my mind right now.

There are moments when every sand that slips takes a heart beat away and leaves you with an arching pain. All one wants to do is say a little prayer and call upon a miracle that would just stop the sand from slipping away... that would just stop time from passing by ...

But today I want the sand to slip...slip as fast as it could. I want time to pass away soon..I want it to fly away...

Right now I am loving this irony .. Can't wait !
